We’re a fast-growing startup in the cloud computing space. We believe that while cloud platforms are functionally great and quite powerful, they are built on legacy software and are irritably inefficient (and expensive!). Based on award-winning research and open-source tech, we have built Unikraft Cloud, a next generation cloud platform that allows for order-of-magnitude better efficiency, performance and security.
A Senior Golang Engineer at Unikraft will help in integrating Unikraft with the larger cloud tooling ecosystem in order to increase adoption, whether towards the Unikraft open source community or company clients, as well as help develop internal systems for our cloud platform. In particular, we’re looking for forward-thinking, top-notch engineers with deep expertise in Go and modern cloud-native technologies.
If you’re passionate about distributed systems, love solving challenging technical problems, and thrive in a fast-paced startup environment, we’d love to hear from you!
What You’ll Do
We’re a small multidisciplinary team and you’d have a wide variety of responsibilities, including:
- Build Cloud-Native Applications: Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native applications and services written in Go, leveraging best practices for scalability and reliability.
- Architect Distributed Systems: Work on scalable architectures, microservices, and “containerized” applications.
- Contribute to CI/CD Pipelines: Collaborate on automated CI/CD workflows to streamline builds, testing, and deployments.
- Optimize Performance: Identify bottlenecks and improve system performance, availability, and security.
- Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with the product, QA, and customer success teams to translate requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Learn & Grow — Collaborate with other engineers to gain hands-on experience in infrastructure, cloud systems, and incident management.
- Document Processes — Write clear, concise documentation for processes, systems, and tools to help the team operate effectively.
