We’re a fast-growing startup in the cloud computing space. We believe that while cloud platforms are functionally great and quite powerful, they are built on legacy software and are irritably inefficient (and expensive!). Based on award-winning research and open-source tech, we have built Unikraft Cloud, a next generation cloud platform that allows for order-of-magnitude better efficiency, performance and security.
If you’re passionate about cloud infrastructure, love solving real-world problems, thrive in customer-facing roles and enjoy working with cutting-edge technologies we want you on our team!
What You’ll Do
- Help design and build testing frameworks to validate the performance, reliability, and security of Unikraft Cloud.
- Create reproducible, scalable test environments for a wide range of workloads (serverless, AI/ML, CI pipelines, observability).
- Build continuous integration pipelines that catch regressions across unikernels, platform components, and system integrations.
- Emulate high-scale, high-churn environments with millions of instances.
- Collaborate with platform engineers to identify, triage, and resolve low-level bugs and edge cases.
- Build tooling and automation to streamline deployment and platform integration.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab, TeamCity/Qodana).
- Strong Linux skills and familiarity with networking, containers, and system debugging.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Terraform, Python, Bash, Ansible).
- Familiarity with performance and load testing tools (e.g., k6, Locust, wrk).
- Deep understanding of Linux systems and build systems.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written, to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience designing, implementing, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines.
- OS package management experience (e.g., Debian, RPM, Alpine, .ISOs).
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies like QEMU/KVM. Micro-VMMs like Cloud-Hypervisor or Firecracker are a plus.
- Programming experience with languages like Go and C/C++ are a plus.
Mindset
- Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a curious, analytical mindset.
- Enthusiasm for building reliable, high-performance systems.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Ability to quickly adapt to new programming languages, runtimes and environments.
Why This Role is Career-Defining
